How to use it — step by step

An easy guide to get it right first time. Full support on the phone if you get stuck.

  1. Survey the drain with the cameraFeed the camera up the line and find the defect exactly as with the standard CCTV hire.
  2. Park the camera head at the defectLeave the head (with its built-in sonde) at the point you need to locate.
  3. Set the vLoc3-Cam to the sonde frequencyMatch the locator to the camera sonde (e.g. 512Hz) and hold it upright.
  4. Follow the arrowsThe vLoc3's directional arrows guide you to the front/rear locate points, then to the sonde itself.
  5. Confirm position and depthCentre the icon on screen — the display shows depth. Mark the dig spot with paint.
  6. Trace the whole run if neededSwitch to pushrod trace mode to map the full pipe route across the property.
